General Position Summary

The PACS Systems Analyst assumes responsibility for providing the continuity of clinical operations of all computerized information and imaging systems. The PACS Systems Analyst administers the day-to-day operations of the systems, including performing daily maintenance and utilities; participates in scheduled system upgrades and provides support, documentation, and training to all staff using the systems.


Required Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Licensure / Specialized Training

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience / Skills

Analytical skills and logical thought processes in order to formulate solutions to problems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate complex ideas in an easy to understand format and must be able to interact well with physicians and senior leadership effectively

Skills to work under pressure or stressful situations without compromising the concentration needed for attention to fine detail

Must be very technically savvy with hardware, software packages, and possess some technical educational / training experience

Must be patient, understanding and empathetic with hospital patients

Must be committed to patient data safety - properly archiving and must adhere to company policies and procedures

50% of this role will involve providing technical phone support at various facilities to end users and be responsible for 1 st level call resolution

Have strong willingness and ability to learn
Preferred Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Licensure / Specialized Training

Bachelors degree, graduate of an Accredited Radiological Technology Program, Certified Imaging Informatics Professional ( CIIP)
Experience / Skills / Competencies

2 years of PACS/Radiology IS experience OR 1 year of PACS/Radiology IS experience with a Bachelor’s degree

PACS radiology (IMPAX) or other imaging sharing software experience – AGFA, Siemens, GE or McKesson

Experience utilizing third party software such as MagView, Talk Technologies (voice/speech recognition)

X-ray technology experience

Radiology modality installation, onsite configuration, and maintenance experience

Create training materials for new software and new technologies

Essential Position Duties

1. Manages the day-to-day operations of all computerized information and imaging systems

2. Troubleshoots equipment and resolves related problems

3. Provides orientation and training to employees on appropriate systems

4. Performs prescribed utilities and maintenance on equipment
