BURLINGTON, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE[1])--Mach7 Technologies[2], award-winning provider of medical image management solutions, announced today the successful implementation of Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform at Broward Health, one of the largest IDNs in the U.S.

Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform provides the foundation on which Broward Health will execute a strategy to deconstruct their legacy PACS infrastructure and standardize on an enterprise-wide advanced image-management solution. With successful completion of phase one, Broward Health will begin to realize their goal of reducing image storage costs by more than a third and eliminating migration requirements of nearly 5 million studies previously locked within a legacy PACS infrastructure. In addition, the hospital system leveraged Mach7 technology to establish business continuity with 99.999% reliability to eliminate planned downtime and deliver high availability.

“Two specific cost savings areas identified at the project kickoff can now be realized with the completion of the first phase of the implementation," commented Boris Kalitenko, Sr. PACS Administrator, Broward Health. "We anticipate that significant storage and migration cost reductions will be recognized and that our high availability will be better aligned with our business and patient care goals. The Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform provides the mission critical foundation we need to integrate, access and share imaging studies across all of our facilities with unequaled reliability to enhance patient care."

Broward Health estimates that it will recover the full cost of their investment in Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform after one year of use, which underscores the business efficiencies possible through adoption of a VNA and enterprise imaging IT strategy.
