PARAMUS, NJ--(Marketwired - March 21, 2016) - Advanced Data Systems Corp. (ADS) announces their new EMRdirect application, which delivers finalized reports through ADS' MedicsRIS to any referring physician's EMR without an HL7 interface, has been successfully tested. ADS will be rolling out EMRdirect to select MedicsRIS installations for further beta testing in April and May with general release scheduled by June 2016.

Steve Hamburg, ADS Director of RIS Sales and Development, said, "This is a true game changer for independent stand-alone imaging centers. The ability to send reports directly to their referring physicians' EHRs will give these centers a powerful marketing tool to keep their referrers from sending patients to a hospital for studies."
"We expect this type of capability will keep the referring network intact and to perhaps even expand their referring base," Mr. Hamburg added. "The fact that this is done without a costly HL7 interface makes it a 'no-brainer' for any imaging center trying to stay competitive."
